My everyday make- up products

Hello everyone,

I hope you´ve had a wonderful Thursday so far :) I am really enjoying my semester break (quite successfully ignoring the fact that I have to write 4 term papers until the end of March... ugh) and I thought that you might be interested in some make - up products I reached for quite a lot recently.

Basically it´s the products for my everyday make - up. I like it to be subtle and natural, just enhancing my look a little bit - making my face and eyes look more awake, even and simply, naturally beautiful.

(By the way - unfortunately, my camera broke just a week ago, so I have to use my IPhone for taking photos. I thought that they are okay, so I go on posting them ;) )

Here you see the products, they are explained right below the picture.

MaxFactor Soft Resistant Make Up (3 Naturel)
This foundation is quite new in my make - up collection, however, I really like it a lot already. I used to have the L´Oréal Mat´Morphose Make Up, which has a quite solid, mousse-like and mattifying texture and became too drying for my skin during the cold temperatures.
So I reached for a liquid foundation and every single review about this MaxFactor one was very positive and praising, PLUS it is a drugstore - foundation in a very light shade (which I am desperately needing), so I got it. I like it because it is a very light, yet covering foundation and it does not dry my skin at all. It works really well to apply it with your fingers, because it merges with your skin and becomes smooth and seamless. At the beginning, I used to apply it with a foundation brush but probably I just catched too much product or whatever, it became quite dark. So, use it with your fingers rather than with a foundation brush.

Benefit Boi - ing Industial Strength Concealer (01)
I have used this concealer for ages, it is just perfect. The lightest shade fits my skin tone perfectly and the solid, creamy texture lasts on your skin forever. I apply it in the morning using my fingers or a concealer brush and I do not have to reapply any more product during the day. I use it for everything - under my eyes to conceal shadows, on my face to cover up impurities and sometimes on my lips in order to create a nude "lipstick".

Manhattan Minerals Pure Mat Loose Powder (2 Transparent Neutral)
This loose powder has become a favorite. I apply it on my face using a very soft powder brush and it does not become cakey or dusty at all. My face is matte and silky for hours. I sometimes have to reapply some powder during the day, but not always as my skin tends to be more dry than oily.

MAC Sheertone Blush (Blushbaby)
I seriously love love love this blush. If I had to choose one blush of my collection, this would be it. Simply perfect and beautiful. It is matte (which I looove, sometimes I like a little shimmer and glimmer on my skin - but surely not on an everyday basis), subtle and the perfect shade for me. Aw!

Artdeco Eyeshadow Base
If one would ask me, I´d say that this is an absolute must have for any girl who loves wearing eyeshadow. This base keeps your eye make-up in place for days, literally. I once fell asleep, my face all painted and with full eye make-up on (actually, this does never happen to me, but, well...) and when I woke up the next morning everything was a mess, except for my eyeshadow and eyeliner, perfectly kept where they belong by this nice little base.
The only thing I do not like about it is its masculine scent, it honestly smells like a man´s after shave!

MAC Eyeshadow Quad (Blanc Type, Naked Lunch, Wedge, Handwritten)
My everyday, subtle but beautifiyng and wonderfully textured eyeshadows. As you can tell from the picture I love "Blanc Type" the most, it is my perfect skin tone and its matte texture is just lovely, smooth, velvety and flattering. Sometimes I apply "Wedge" over "Blanc Type", which works really well, too.

Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara
I use this clear gel only to style my eyebrows, to keep them in order and in place. Sometimes it is too sticky and shiny for me, but it is easily to brush off.

Basic Eyebrow Pencil (01)
Actually, I have not found the perfect eyebrow pencil or powder for me - my color is just difficult to meet. This one comes very close, though. I use it to trace my eyebrows and to extend them a bit because they are very thin and a little too short for my taste. It works quite well, but I´d love to try out an eyebrow powder once.

Manhattan Kajal Eyeliner (96W)
I love to wear eyeliner at my upper and lower lashline, especially black liquid eyeliner. However, black liquid liner can be too harsh for every day, so I grabbed this dark brown, soft kajal pencil. It has the perfect color for me, a very very dark brown, almost black, with a very cold undertone. If I use warm colors in my eye area I look like a puffy, tear-dimmed disaster - so this pencil is just right for me. In addition, Kajal is waaayy softer than a liquid liner, so it´s perfect for my everyday make-up:

MaxFactor Khol Kajal (090 Natural Glaze)
I use this Kajal on my lower waterline, just to make my eyes look a little bigger and more awake. It is a very light beige shade, white would be too hard for my face:

Astor Mascara Volume Diva, Curve me sexy (Ultra Black)
Girls... Oh. My. God. This mascara is my new holy grail. I got it quite new, however I can tell that it is just perfect.
I mean, look at that package, isn´t it gorgeous?

But it does not only look cute, it also makes my lashes soo beautiful. They are curled, extended to the max and stay like this for the whole day.
It contains Lycra, maybe this is the secret.
The wand is shaped like a curvy corset:

My eyes tolerate this mascara as well, sometimes I have problems with that because I wear contact lenses. But this one is nothing but perfect (sorry, I am repeating myself...).
Seriously ladies, if you got the chance - go grab this mascara. It is quite inexpensive and does real magic :)

As you might have noticed, my blog underwent some changes and redecorations.
But now - here we go, a fresh and completely renovated design and, most important, in English.
And of course you can expect a whole bunch of new posts - probably mainly beauty and fashion kind of chit - chat, however, there might be some book- and movie - reviews as well.

I really hope you like the new design as much as I do (I think it´s quite feminine, frisky and cheerful) and are as much excited as I about this freshly restored Blog of mine :)
